Multi-Sport Court Tiles and Line Options
Multi sport court tiles let one outdoor court host basketball, pickleball, volleyball, and more. Game lines for each sport are printed onto the tiles in different colors, so every game shares one footprint, and lines go down at a regulation two inch width chosen to contrast with your tile color.
For backyard court tiles that handle several games, start with Cushioned Flex Pro or All-Court Classic. Our kits of basketball court tiles include game lines, ramps, and corners, and our guide to the best backyard sport court surface weighs tile against the other options.
How Snap-Together Court Tiles Lock and Float
Snap court tiles connect edge to edge with the GTC Fit Locking Mechanism™, so a snap together sport court goes down over sound concrete or asphalt with no adhesive and no special tools.
The finished court floats on the slab instead of being glued down, and an expansion gap at the edge lets the field expand and contract with temperature swings without buckling. See how the lock works in our basketball court system overview.
Replacing a Damaged Tile on Your GTC Court
Every GTC court ships with extra tiles set aside in your color palette, so you already own your first sport court replacement tiles. Unlock the damaged tile, lift it out, and snap the match into place. Replacement tiles, ramps, and edges can also be ordered individually.
GTC tiles are designed to connect with GTC tiles, so order replacements in the same line your court uses. Our sport court maintenance guide covers the rest of the year.
Building indoors? The Indoor-Only Collection is made for an indoor basketball court in a gym, studio, or other conditioned space, and every Indoor + Outdoor line works inside as well.

Court Tile Safety FAQ
Common safety questions about modular sport tile, including wet conditions, kids' play, material safety, and replacing a tile.
- Are sport tiles slippery when wet?
- All court surfaces - including modular tile, concrete, and asphalt - can be slippery when wet. Our perforated tiles drain water faster than solid surfaces, but caution is always advised in pool and wet areas. Our Hydro Grip Pool Tile is engineered specifically for wet environments.
- Are the tiles safe for kids?
- Yes. Our tiles offer meaningful shock absorption versus bare concrete or asphalt, reducing joint stress during running and jumping. Edge ramps eliminate trip hazards at the court border.
- What are the tiles made of?
- Virgin polypropylene - the same material used in food containers and children's toys. Tiles are 3rd-party laboratory safety tested. No heavy metals, no phthalates.
- Do the tiles get hot in the sun?
- Lighter colors (white, light gray) stay noticeably cooler. Darker colors absorb more heat - recommended to use lighter base tiles in hot, sun-exposed installations.
- Do tiles prevent fall injuries?
- Sport tile reduces impact compared to hard surfaces but does not eliminate fall-related injury risk. We recommend padding around net posts and hoop bases, as with any sport court.
- Can I install tiles around a pool?
- Yes - our Hydro Grip Pool Tile is engineered for wet, slip-prone areas with fast-drying surface texture and UV/mold resistance. Standard caution still applies: all surfaces are slippery when wet.
- Can you replace a single damaged tile on a GTC court?
- Yes. Every GTC court ships with extra tiles set aside in your color palette, so a damaged tile is a swap, not a resurfacing: unlock it, lift it out, and snap the matching tile into its place. Replacement tiles, ramps, and edges can also be ordered individually. GTC tiles are designed to connect with GTC tiles, so order any replacement in the same line your court uses.
- Are outdoor court tiles different from indoor tiles?
- Yes. Tiles built for outdoor use have an open-grid structure that drains water, and they are engineered for freeze and thaw conditions, so the court stays installed year round. Indoor-only tiles are not waterproof at the seams and carry no UV rating, so they belong in gyms, studios, and other conditioned spaces. Every line marked Indoor + Outdoor on this page also works indoors; an indoor-only line never goes outside. Read our indoor outdoor basketball court tile guide
